Job Description Children, Education and Justice Services Early Years Officer Abbeyhill Primary School Salary: £32,010 – £37,626 (pro rata for part time and sessional) Hours: 32 per week (Monday - Thursday), 39 weeks sessional We are looking for an Early Years Officer to join our setting, who can bring knowledge, experience, vitality, flexibility, and a passion for helping young children develop and grow through planning and providing high quality learning experiences. The successful candidate will be an experienced practitioner who will support and mentor other staff within the team, sharing their knowledge and experience. The EYO must hold an HNC in Early Years and Childcare or another relevant qualification which meets with the requirements of the Standard for Childhood Practice. Abbeyhill Primary is a co-educational and non-denominational school located in the heart of Edinburgh, overlooking the Palace of Holyrood House and Arthur's Seat. The Senior Leadership Team includes a Head Teacher, Principal Teacher and Business Manager. We pride ourselves on being at the heart of our community with strong links to the Palace, local businesses and the annual Colony of Artists festival. We fully utilise Queen's Park for Forest Adventures and outdoor learning for both our school and nursery children.
