Description Are you an experienced Electrical maintenance engineer with particular knowledge of PLC’s interrogation and programming? NSF’s Oakdale site is the largest independent water fittings and materials testing laboratory in the UK. With over 80 years’ experience of water supply and distribution, NSF tests a wide range of products which come into contact with water, from taps and pipes to washing machines and showers. We are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer who will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our testing equipment and machinery with an electrical bias. This includes a variety of technical testing rigs which use PLC’s, primarily focusing on pressure, temperature, and flow. Responsibilities Including, but not limited to: Ensuring all testing equipment and machinery runs reliably by conducting preventative and reactive maintenance with an electrical bias Co-ordinating routine servicing schedules with the labs management and contractor services. Monitoring contractors work to ensure quality and safety at all times Carrying out compulsory legislative inspections and checks Taking ownership of procedures and ensuring tasks are completed on time and to budgets Assisting with the design and build processes of new Rigs, including liaising with external engineering contractors where required Maintain accurate records by updating computer maintenance management systems Improving overall equipment performance by generating/implementing ideas and modifications Assisting and cooperating with other team members in the NSF Wales Facility Carrying out and supporting all HSSE procedures and Risk Assessments where required, including own area of responsibility With the Senior Facilities Technician, able to own and be responsible for building and running a safe Workshop and Maintenance stores with the help of the Facilities Operations Manager Assist in the change of culture at NSF Wales, with regards to maintenance and facilities Qualifications Relevant maintenance or engineering qualification Good standard of numeracy and literacy Experience in fault finding and maintaining production/automation equipment Experience in electrical maintenance is essential Experience in PLC’s interrogation and programming, Servo’s and Drives preferred Experience of Health & Safety in the workplace Good Mechanical maintenance skills with Electrical Bias Good communication skills The ability to work safely and responsibly, both independently and with others The ability to manage a varied workload Support a culture of continuous improvement Competent IT skills, to include familiarity Microsoft office and other software packages Demonstrate a flexible and reactive approach What NSF can offer: This is a great opportunity for an experienced electrical maintenance engineer, who has good knowledge of PLC’s.
