Electrical Estimator
MTM Engineering have an exciting new opportunity for an Electrical Estimator to join our growing team based out of our Strabane office.
The Role
This is a hands-on role with a responsibility to produce Electrical tenders for both pre-designed and design & construct projects along with estimating works working in a professional team.

MTM Engineering was established in 1997 and is an Electrical Engineering company that specialises in MV & LV electrical cable installation, termination services, and containment solutions for a wide range of construction projects. Our expertise spans across industries such as Data Centres and Pharmaceutical throughout Europe and beyond.
Responsibilities
1. Management of estimating new projects from inception to submission.
2. Setting up estimates, tender packs and applicable trackers.
3. Communicating with internal stakeholders and external Suppliers & Clients.
4. Preparing take-offs for LV/MV Cabling and Containment systems from drawings.
5. Inputting take offs and quotes to relevant estimate formats.
6. Produce bills of quantities, schedules of work and contractors' proposal documents to support bids.
7. Assist in the handing over to the operational delivery team.
8. Develop strong inter-departmental relationships working closely with Contracts Managers, QSs and Design/Engineering department.
9. Assist with supply chain pricing, sourcing and establishing new vendors.
10. Assist with technical review, submission of RFIs and CDE with each tender where needed.
11. Support on review and purchasing of contractor furnished equipment such as LV Switchgear and busbar.

* Ability to work on own initiative & as part of a team to manage workload efficiently.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
* High attention to detail.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical clients.
* Qualifications in Mathematics & English (5+ GCSE or above) demonstrating a strong numerical skillset.
* Experience as an estimator or electrical background would be advantageous.
