Are you passionate about driving sustainability and carbon reduction initiatives? Our Energy Business Unit is looking for a Carbon Lead to embed our Pathway to Net Zero 2030 strategy, supporting our pre-contract team and ensuring that low-carbon options are integrated into our tender responses.
The Role
* Provide subject matter expertise in carbon management and drive continuous improvement in environmental performance.
* Lead the implementation of our Carbon Strategy, ensuring alignment with client expectations and industry standards.
* Deliver Carbon Literacy Behaviour Training across all job families within the business unit.
* Support the development of Carbon Reduction and Management Plans for all workstreams.
* Facilitate baseline carbon calculations and identify carbon reduction opportunities and best practices.
* Represent the business unit in Infrastructure CarboniCa Champion meetings and support the adoption of CarboniCa methodologies.
* Conduct carbon risk and opportunity workshops and maintain carbon risk registers.
* Assist in the development and maintenance of ISO14001 certification and the environmental aspects of our Integrated Management System (IMS).
* Collaborate with bid teams, contributing to solution innovation and preparing evidence of company capabilities.
* Support compliance with environmental legislation, internal audits, and external accreditations.
* Engage with customers and stakeholders, promoting best practice solutions and driving sustainability initiatives.
About You
* Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject.
* Recognised qualifications in Carbon Management.
* Experience in implementing the PAS2080 Carbon Management Standard.
* Strong background in delivering Carbon Literacy training.
* Experience with carbon measurement tools and identifying carbon reduction opportunities.
* Familiarity with pre-contract team workflows, including participation in bid workshops and innovation development.
* Knowledge of environmental legislation and best practices within the industry.
