Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Named Lead for Adult safeguarding in East Sussex Healthcare. We are forward thinking Safeguarding team who are advocating the Think Family message across all areas. The position will allow a dynamic individual to consider safeguarding vulnerabilities through both an acute and community lens. The post holder will support trust staff alongside the Head of Safeguarding, Named Nurse Children and Named Midwife to deliver the Trusts statutory safeguarding duties. Main duties of the job The role will include supporting the team to drive forward the Think Family agenda and training strategies and to assist in providing assurance that all systems and requirements are in place for the safeguarding of adults at risk that come into contact with our Trust and services. The post holder will provide advanced support, expert assessment and advice to staff and other professionals to safeguard adults at risk, andwill be a highly specialist role model to our staff. The successful candidate will be expected to have and demonstrate an excellent working knowledge and understanding of the local and national safeguarding agenda to ensure that the Trust is compliant in its safeguarding duties. The Safeguarding team within the trust comprises Specialist roles across the lifespan, in a Think Family context. The post holder would line manage staff in the adult speciality and would be part of the management team alongside a Named Nurse for Children, Children in Care and a Named Midwife.
