A great opportunity has arisen for a full time Directorate Support Manager to join the Gynaecology Directorate.
You will assist the Division in the development and implementation of policy, business planning, business objectives and service developments and assist service leads in meeting performance management requirements of the services, including, RTT, cancer, Patient Flow, Sickness & Absence, quality and activity targets.
You will undertake specific project work as identified by the Divisional Team.
You will support the Directorate in the monitoring of the theatre and outpatient capacity and utilisation of sessions and plan and monitor the use of the theatre lists to ensure maximum utilisation and work closely with the Consultant team to manage capacity and demand.
You will assist in the investigation of complaints/incidents/PALS and maintain a flexible approach towards assisting in the general smooth running of the Department and support with patient flow by attending relevant meetings and escalating concerns.
Interviews will be held on 14th March 2025.
You will ensure medical staff adhere to Attendance policy and Special Leave, monitoring sickness & absence of medical staff, conducting return to works, and formal sickness reviews in line with Trust Policy and all other HR policies and provide updates to clinical leads on sickness & absence statistics within each specialty highlighting where there are particular issues. You will ensure medical staff are compliant with mandatory training and take necessary action for those not compliant and ensure the weekend on-call planning rota is completed and disseminated appropriately, and any changes are escalated where necessary.
You will produce Business Plans as and when required, chasing these up to timescales and deadlines and assist the Directorate Manager with the management of the RTT and cancer performance validation and support the achievement of the RTT and cancer standards.
You will attend RTT and cancer performance meetings with directorate and clinical teams when required and support the tracking of patients and escalation of patient treatment in relation to delays in treatment.
You will liaise with the Directorate Manager where additional capacity is required for patients to be seen within appropriate timescales. Early escalation of potential capacity problems. Escalate issues which may impede compliance to the Directorate manager in a timely manner and collaboratively work up recovery plans.
