Senior Accountant Location: Hybrid, MK Salary: Up to £65k (depending on experience) About the Role This role has been created due to the company’s continued expansion and the increasing workload of the current owner. They are looking for a capable professional to take on key responsibilities as the firm grows further. Key Responsibilities Statutory Accounts Preparation – Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Month-End and Year-End Close – Lead financial close processes, ensuring timely and precise reporting. Strategic Financial Guidance – Provide clients with valuable financial insights to support decision-making. Process Optimisation – Work with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and improve efficiency. Regulatory Compliance – Stay up to date with regulatory changes and ensure full compliance with tax laws. Mentorship – Support and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional development. Qualifications & Skills ACCA or ACA Qualified/Near Qualified – Strong professional credentials. Experience – Proven track record in an accounting firm. Accounting Knowledge – Deep understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations. Software Proficiency – Competent in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks and/or Xero is a plus. Analytical Skills – Strong analytical abilities with keen attention to detail. Communication Skills – Excellent interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
