Hales Group are proud to be working with our market-leading client, a renowned manufacturer of electronic equipment sold globally. We are excited to support their growth by helping them find a talented Stock Control / Purchasing Assistant to join their production and purchasing department. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an innovative company at the forefront of engineering excellence.
Role Overview: In this role, you will support the production department through various duties including stock control, purchasing assistance, and general administrative tasks at all stages of manufacture. You will work closely with a range of individuals, balancing time between administration and production responsibilities. An interest in engineering is highly desirable for this position.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Stock Management: Booking goods in and out using our stock control system, including component orders, fabricated and machined parts from suppliers, and final product dispatch.
Reporting & Issue Prevention: Assisting with reports, including managing the Non-Conformance Register and addressing recurring issues.
Production Support: Preparing work packs for production and kitting of parts.
Quality Assurance: Upholding company quality policies and procedures.
Stock Level Management: Assisting with maintaining accurate stock levels at all times.
Customer Returns Administration: Supporting the processing of customer returned products.
Delivery & Collection: Handling goods deliveries and collections using company vehicles.
Forklift Operations: Operating a forklift (licence desirable). The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience in stock management.
A good understanding of or interest in engineering.
Strong communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry on in-house software systems.
Excellent attendance and punctuality.
A flexible approach with the ability to multi-task.
Ability to work under pressure.
A clean, full UK driving licence (essential).
