An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pastoral Welfare Officer at a Primary School in the L8 postcode. This newly introduced role requires an educator with relevant experience in key areas.
Key Information:
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent (The school intends to offer the successful candidate a permanent contract following a successful trial period).
Contract Term: Full-time, 35 hours per week, term-time only plus 5 INSET days.
Start Date: October 2024
The Role:
The school is seeking a candidate to support the provision of pastoral care, focusing on addressing the mental and physical needs of pupils to help remove barriers to learning. The successful candidate will provide guidance and support to assist pupils with their social care and personal development. This role involves delivering interventions to both individuals and groups to promote pupils’ wellbeing (so experience in delivering interventions is essential). The ideal candidate will have a warm and approachable manner, capable of building strong relationships with parents/carers and staff and be passionate about supporting young people. The role also includes providing first aid and medical assistance to pupils, as well as working closely with the attendance team to improve pupil attendance.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
