Remuneration £30,000 - £32,000 per year The Opportunity We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and experienced team in Woodstock. Medivet 24 Hour Woodstock is a modern and well-equipped veterinary surgery in Oxford. We are committed to providing a high quality, good value and honest veterinary service to all pets, both day and night. Woodstock is on the eastern edge of Cotswolds a picturesque town with good access to oxford centre. the practice has recently been extended and refurbished with a CT Scanner and digital x-ray installed. The ideal candidate will have a passion for emergency and critical care and will thrive on working at gold standard in patient and client care. Your average day will include a variety of nursing and surgical duties as well as assisting with clinical coaching and supporting our Student Veterinary Nurses. Full support will be provided as you will work closely within our experienced team. You must have a passion for delivering outstanding client and patient care and enjoy working in a supportive working environment. You’ll have a friendly and positive attitude and want to progress and expand your knowledge and skills further. This is a permanent full time role, working 40 hours per week with 1:6 weekends and 2-3 weeks on call per year. In this role you will: Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team. Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients. Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity. Lead, manage and promote nurse led appointments and Schedule 3 surgeries. Deliver patient monitoring and care. Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team. Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care. Dispense and check medication. Deliver professional excellence, implementing and complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards. Inspire your team, sharing new or evolving practice standards and changes to processes. Engage, coach and develop your team. Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice across practices and the wider Medivet community. Your Skills and Experience RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse. Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care. Able to confidently lead a clinical team. Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture through nurse clinics and nurse consultations. Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
