The role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating project programmes, ensuring timely delivery and efficient resource allocation. This role involves working closely with both office-based and site-based staff, contractors, and suppliers to ensure consistency and alignment across all phases of MEP projects.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Develop, maintain, and review project programmes at pre-contract and post-contract stages.
2. Create progress reports and revise project schedules and forecasts using planning/programme software such as Microsoft Project or Asta.
3. Break down large projects into manageable phases of development.
4. Use project management tools to plan and manage project timeframes effectively.
5. Collaborate with Estimators to calculate resources required for projects.
6. Develop contingency plans to address potential changes in project timelines.
7. Meet with contractors and suppliers to discuss and review programme-related issues.
8. Demonstrate knowledge of construction processes, particularly in roofing and façade works.
9. Coordinate between office and site teams to ensure consistency in programmes and sequencing.
10. Produce procurement and design programmes aligned with agreed construction schedules.
11. Conduct critical reviews of programmes for Extension of Time (EOT) requests, identifying delays, hold-ups, and additional works.
12. Maintain a basic understanding of EOT/Compensation Events requirements to ensure accurate programme adjustments.
Skills and Qualifications:

* Proficiency in using planning software such as Asta and Microsoft Project.
Essential Requirements:
* Approximately 5 years of planning experience.
* Solid understanding of building services and sequencing.
* Possession of a valid UK driving licence.

* Knowledge of building services and their sequencing.
