CER is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in an SEN school in Morpeth.
Whilst a teaching assistant qualification isn't essential, experience working with children or adults with special educational needs is required as you must have the ability to build a rapport with these students quickly.
As Teaching Assistants you may be required to work as a general Teaching Assistant; helping the teacher as and when needed and providing care and support for any students needing assistance!
The role is initially temporary but has the potential to go permanent for the correct applicant.
The school, based in Morpeth, is an alternative provision for students with special educational needs, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
Due to needing to travel to various schools in some cases having a car is advantageous but not a necessity.
