As a member of the retail team, you’ll help us inspire communities to provide more care for more people through innovating and collaborating on ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle. You will also contribute to driving up the income that generates the vital funds necessary to keep our care and support services running.
Our Sue Ryder Bedminster shop is located in the heart of town, and our aim is to provide customers with the most fantastic choice of new, pre-loved, and vintage items.
Do you have retail experience with excellent customer service skills? Would you love to use your retail knowledge and experience for an important cause? If so, assist and support our Shop Manager to run our Bedminster shop and contribute to the work we do across Sue Ryder!
As our new Shop Supervisor, you will have retail experience with the commercial awareness to deliver sales. You’ll have a positive attitude and good judgment to do the right thing. Proven team leadership skills and the ability to help lead a large team of volunteers are essential. Enjoying engaging with people, having a positive can-do attitude, and a good understanding of financial and IT administration are also important.
Responsibilities:
1. Use your skills and retail experience to help drive business, push sales, and achieve targets.
2. Help to lead a team to deliver great customer service to our donors and customers.
3. Work with the local community to generate sufficient donated stock to drive sales.
4. Help to recruit, train, and retain a volunteer team, who'll look to you and the shop manager for leadership and guidance.
5. Set high standards of merchandising and housekeeping, ensuring you and your team's health and safety is a priority.
6. Help to manage effective stock processes to ensure your shop is well merchandised with fresh, seasonal stock at all times.
7. Act as a brand ambassador for Sue Ryder, supporting in-store campaigns to promote the brand and national fundraising initiatives.
8. Help to manage an effective stock process through the Epos operation.
