We're looking for an existing Hafod colleague to join our team as a Cook at our Gwynfa Care Home in Llanishen, Cardiff.
This is a permanent role, working on a RELIEF contract and is open for Hafod colleagues to apply only.
What you'll do
You'll be in a key role where you can make a difference. You'll ensure our residents are provided with healthy, high-quality options for their meals. You'll ensure a good standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained throughout the kitchen. You'll also be responsible for directing and supervising kitchen staff and ensuring they are aware of their responsibilities with regard to food hygiene and preparation.
What you'll need
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have the skills and knowledge to communicate clearly and provide a first-class service to our residents. You'll need to have a food hygiene certificate and catering experience in a professional setting. You'll be well-organized and have the ability to work with your own initiative to meet deadlines, which may be under pressure.

Where you will be working
Gwynfa is a residential care home in the Llanishen area of Cardiff and provides accommodation for 16 residents, each with their own private bedroom. The project provides 24-hour care and support for elderly individuals and those who have experienced poor mental health.
