UTEC is looking to source a Storeperson/Driver on a full-time, permanent basis. Based at their facility in Westhill, Aberdeen, the Storeperson/Driver is responsible for the management of storing & safekeeping of goods in the workshop while keeping an accurate control of goods in/out, stock, asset control, rental equipment and ensuring these are transported accordingly.
Duties & Main Responsibilities
1. To receive all goods delivered to the company.
2. Carry out inspection of goods received - checking for damage, quantity, and quality of items received.
3. Check hire returns against dispatch notes and report any anomalies or damages to the Workshop Manager.
4. Ensure that all equipment is accurately tagged & quarantined at the time of receipt.
5. To adequately package all orders for safe delivery to the customer.
6. To deliver and collect goods from clients.
7. To support the Logistics Co-ordinator with the liaison between various carriers used for delivery to customers.
8. To be responsible for arranging the most cost-effective delivery solution for all customer orders, cable, or other rental deliveries.
9. To keep the goods in/out/stores areas free of hazards to comply with Health and Safety requirements and the company’s Health & Safety Policy.
10. Keep detailed records of any shortages and spares of workshop items.
11. Updating the inventory management system regularly.
12. To assist with regular stock checks when required.
13. To assist in any requests for assistance required by the Workshop Manager and undertake any other duties, as can be reasonably requested by the company.
14. Overseeing the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment along with completing daily checks.
15. Maintains regular cleaning services for company vehicles and ensures they are always ready for use.
Required
1. Experienced within a similar role.
2. Experience of using Forklift, valid Forklift certification preferred.
3. Ideally possess standard grade or equivalent English and Maths.
4. Experience driving and working in a busy stores area.
5. Experience in freight/shipping and logistics control.
