Job Description
Our client, a Building Surveying practice, specialising in historical surveys and repairs, are seeking a Building Surveyor to join them, based from their Manchester office. The Building Surveyor will gain exposure to a breadth of unique projects across the UK, working on a range of historical surveys, focusing on listed buildings, old industrial works, churches, cathedrals etc.

Building Surveyor Job Overview
* Conduct building inspections using various techniques and equipment, including work at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces.
* Produce detailed reports with research, recommendations, photos, sketches, and annotated CAD plans.
* Provide prompt, professional advice on building defects, material conditions, and performance.
* Attend meetings with clients, design teams, and consultants.
* Follow established procedures and help develop new systems to uphold quality standards.
* Engage in personal training and development with management guidance.
* Maintain strict confidentiality in all work and communications.
Building Surveyor Job Requirements
* Hold a relevant Bachelors or Master's Degree
* Achieved or working towards chartered Membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g RIBA, RICS, etc)
* Prior experience within the UK construction industry
* Full UK Drivers licence and willingness to travel
* Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft 365
* Interest in working on historical projects
