Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer/Electrician looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting permanent position available at London Heathrow Airport, offering a 4on4off shift pattern from 06:00-18:00 and 18:00-06:00.
As part of the maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of key customer facilities at the airport. Your responsibilities will include performing electrical and mechanical tasks, identifying and rectifying faults, and collaborating with the team to complete scheduled maintenance work.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Engineer/Electrician, your responsibilities will include:
1. Performing electrical and mechanical tasks, including motors, bearings, and belts, in planned and reactive environments.
2. Identifying problematic faults, rectifying issues, and monitoring system performance continuously.
3. Ensuring customer operational continuity by preventing equipment failures.
4. Conducting systems analysis on various systems, including S7 PLC, Profibus and communication networks.
5. Collaborating with the maintenance team to complete PPM schedules within agreed timescales.
6. Executing mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance tasks in a busy automated logistics hub.
7. Providing support for project and facility management work.
8. Articulating detailed reports and supporting existing on-site colleagues.
9. Monitoring and implementing continuous improvement measures in response to customer requests.
10. Collaborating within a team and being comfortable working independently.
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
11. HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
12. Proven experience in a similar position, preferably within sortation and distribution or a fast-moving production environment.
13. Excellent communication skills and solid IT proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office applications.
14. Electrically biased background with suitable qualification to work as an electrician in the jurisdiction
15. Knowledge of conducting sorter Health Checks would be advantages.
16. Understanding of Emergency Stop and Safety Supervision Systems.
