We're B-Corp certified with an amazing product-market fit, impressive early traction, and the potential to transform an outdated industry for the better. We've been growing fast and will scale even faster over the next few years.
We're also proud to be part of Octopus, the £multi-billion group that's on a mission to breathe new life into broken industries, through companies like Octopus Energy, Octopus Investments, and Octopus Money.
Check out the Seccl website for the latest on our products and our mission to shape the future of investments.
The role
We're looking for a Lead Product Manager to join our newly formed customer enablement tribe. This is a strategic leadership role that will help shape the future of how customers interact with Seccl. The customer enablement tribe focuses on:
1. UIs that provide a smooth user experience for our different customer types: Advisors, investors, and platform operators.
2. Integrations that are seamless - where we work with partners to enhance our feature sets such as AML, BAV, CRMs, or visualization tools, complementing the user journey rather than disrupting it.
3. Migrations - Developing best-in-class migration capabilities to onboard customers effortlessly.
4. Developer experience - Ensuring that integrating with our platform is as smooth and powerful as possible.
5. Data - Leveraging insights to empower customers and improve decision-making.
The Lead Product Manager will not manage a squad directly but will lead product managers across multiple squads, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving strategic initiatives. You will work alongside two more Lead Product Managers (Custody and Accounts), collectively responsible for the end-to-end product roadmap for the Seccl platform.
On a typical day you will...
1. Lead the strategic direction of the Customer enablement tribe, working closely with product managers and squads.
2. Drive alignment across multiple squads within your tribe, ensuring shared best practices and cross-functional collaboration.
3. Build strong relationships with advisors, developers, and current and future firms, deeply understanding their needs and pain points.
4. Own the product/customer relationship, ensuring that customers trust and feel heard by Seccl.
5. Coach and mentor product managers, helping them develop strong stakeholder relationships and effective prioritization skills.
6. Partner with engineering leadership to drive product development and ensure high-quality execution.
7. Shape and communicate the long-term vision for the Customer enablement tribe, thinking 6-18 months ahead.
8. Collaborate with commercial and growth teams to balance current and future customer needs with business opportunities.
9. Drive continuous discovery, leveraging data, customer insights, and market trends to inform decisions.
10. Ensure operational excellence, working with customer support and operations to improve processes that impact customers.
11. Provide leadership beyond your immediate team, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared ownership.
This role's for you if you...
1. Have experience leading multiple squads or teams within a high-growth, API-first, fintech, or regulated environment.
2. Are a strategic thinker, balancing long-term vision with execution.
3. Have a strong commercial mindset, understanding how product decisions impact business growth.
4. Can build deep relationships with customers, acting as their advocate within the business.
5. Are an excellent people leader, coaching and mentoring product managers to excel.
6. Have a track record of improving processes and driving operational efficiencies.
7. Work closely with engineering leadership, ensuring a strong product-engineering partnership.
8. Thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, using data to drive decisions.
This role isn't for you if:
1. You have never managed a team.
2. You rely on top-down direction. Here, you'll have significant freedom and ownership to shape your progression and deliver outcomes.
3. You're not comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Our agility and scalability are what set us apart, and we expect quick thinking and adaptability.
4. You struggle to follow through on ideas. We value people who follow through and deliver on what they set out to achieve.
5. You don't like change. You'll thrive here if you embrace the ambiguity of rapid growth and see change as an opportunity rather than a challenge.
What's in it for you...
We offer a generous mix of benefits for the things that really matter to our people, including:
1. A salary between £90,000 and £110,000 - dependent on experience + reviewed annually.
2. 27 days holiday + bank holidays (some can be flexible) + a day off on your birthday + three days (full time) per year for Dependant leave.
3. Two volunteering days per year.
4. Length of service award - one month paid sabbatical at eight years.
5. 6% employer pension contribution, and life assurance.
6. Private medical insurance with AXA Health.
7. Enhanced Parental leave.
8. MacBook and up to £500 home office set up budget.
9. £750 per person learning budget.
10. Option to work abroad for up to six weeks a year.
11. Health and wellbeing initiatives including free therapy via Wellness Cloud, mental health support via Headspace.
12. Strong financial wellbeing focus including access to Octopus Money, Octopus Share Incentive Plan, will writing offering via Octopus Legacy and Seccl Invest (our own platform for you to manage your investments).
13. Perkbox - Flexi-points giving you a range of discounts and perks including free weekly coffee, gym, and retail discounts.
14. Access to initiatives like Cycle to Work and Octopus Electric Vehicle Leasing.

2. Second stage - one-hour technical interview or assessment.
3. Final stage - 45 mins bar-raiser culture-based interview.
We'll only close this role once we have enough applications for the next stage. Please submit your application as soon as possible to make sure you don't miss out, and you should expect to hear back from us within one to two weeks of applying.
Our aim is to build a diverse and inclusive company of awesome people, with unique skills, passions, and experiences. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to age, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status, national origin, or veteran, neurodiversity, or disability status.
