This is a dynamic unit with the capacity for 30 patients who are admitted with a range of medical conditions. The patient stay is up to 72 hours so it goes without saying the pace is fast. We are currently recruiting nurses to join our Medical short stay unit. We recognise that our reputation is built upon the skills and experience of our dedicated team. We are looking for people who have excellent clinical skills, profound communication skills along with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, patients and their relatives. We receive our patients from AAU and the Emergency department when they are in need of a short stay in hospital. A necessity for this role is to have a broad general medicine base. The ideal candidates for these positions would be highly motivated and have a genuine desire to help people in every way they can and also provide the best health care across the board. Along with an induction programme which will include a supernumerary period, preceptorship if not already completed and close support from a named mentor.
