We are actively seeking dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to meet the growing demand for supply staff. Ourmitment is to match the right candidates with the right schools, ensuring a positive impact on students’ learning journeys.Role Overview: As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting individual students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Your work will directly contribute to creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.Location: Evesham (on-site)Contract type: Temporary, Full-time or part-time, flexible daily availability depending on your needsEssential Requirements:
1. Previous Experience: At least 40 days of experience as Teaching Assistant or equivalent.
2. Passion: Genuine interest in working with children with Special Educational Needs.
Responsibilities:
3. Classroom Preparation: Set up classrooms before lessons and maintain a safe, clean environment.
4. Personalized Support: Provide 1:1 care to students with SEN, including those with physical or mental impairments, learning difficulties (, dyslexia), ADHD, or ASD.
5. Collaboration: Assist teachers in preparing lesson materials and managing school equipment.
6. Progress Tracking: Record and report students’ progress to the teacher.
7. Focus and Behaviour: Help students stay focused during class hours and support teachers in managing student behaviour.
8. Core Skills Development: Work with students to improve core skills such as reading and writing.
9. Well-Being: Look after and manage students who may be unwell or upset.
Skills andpetencies:
10. Understanding of SEN: Familiarity with various special educational needs.
11. Guidance and Articulatemunication: Ability to guide and support children aged 5-11,municate clearly, and build positive relationships.
12. Creating an Inclusive Environment: Create an encouraging and appropriate learning environment for students with SEN.
13. Empathy and Sensitivity: Show empathy, understanding, and encouragement toward students’ needs.
14. Tech Proficiency:fortable usingputers and handheld devices.
15. Resilience: Respond calmly and constructively under stress.
16. Flexibility: Adapt to varying classroom situations and individual needs.
Desired Qualifications (not essential):
17. Bachelor’s Degree: In Education or a related field.
18. Level 2 or 3 Certificate: Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or similar.
19. Level 3 Diploma: Childcare and Education or similar.
20. T Level: Education and Early Years or similar.
