The Role As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role within the finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. You will be responsible for assisting in financial processes, statutory returns, and reconciliations while supporting the day-to-day operations of the department. Key Responsibilities: Supporting the Finance Manager in the daily operations of the finance function Processing salary recharges and intercompany invoicing across multiple entities Posting salary allocations for both weekly and monthly payroll Preparing and submitting CIS and RCT returns Assisting with VAT return preparation for review by senior finance personnel Managing bank and credit card reconciliations, including processing receipts and payments Processing weekly payroll for relevant business divisions Preparing and posting month-end journals related to prepayments, fixed assets, and internal plant transactions Reconciling intercompany transactions Maintaining HP schedules and aligning them with the trial balance Overseeing CITB training grant schedules and ensuring accurate claims Handling credit account applications and liaising with relevant stakeholders Attending weekly finance meetings and contributing to team discussions Undertaking ad hoc duties to support the wider finance team as required What Were Looking For: Were seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional who thrives in a dynamic finance environment.
