Trainee Traffic Installation Technician Gloucestershire, United Kingdom (On-site)
Telent is seeking a Trainee Traffic Installation Technician to join our Traffic Signals / Traffic Lighting team in Gloucestershire. This is a field-based role requiring a full UK driving license and willingness to travel and work in all weather conditions.
Ideal candidates will have some electrical installation knowledge or experience, or relevant education such as an Electrical Engineering diploma/certificate. We offer a structured training program to develop your skills and certifications in highways electrical installations and related fields.
Responsibilities include:
* Working with experienced Traffic Engineers to install, maintain, and test traffic signals and electrical components.
* Participating in training that includes on-the-job learning, online courses, and achieving various NVQ levels and sector certifications.
Candidate requirements:
* Interest in field-based engineering and electrical installations.
* Experience or education in electrical work preferred but not mandatory.
* Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
* Full UK driving license, good communication skills, and computer literacy.
* Willingness to undertake drug and alcohol testing.
