Neuro Specialist Occupational Therapist - Band 6
Full time - 37.5 hours per week
Are you passionate about providing transformative care to individuals with neurological conditions? We are seeking a curious and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our skilled, dynamic multi-disciplinary team, dedicated to delivering evidence-based and patient-centered rehabilitation.

This role is ideal for an Occupational Therapist eager to develop specialist skills in areas such as upper limb rehabilitation, cognitive rehabilitation, specialist seating, vocational rehabilitation, and leadership.
Main duties of the job
* Provide evidence-based assessment, treatment and advice to patients with varying neurological conditions.
* Manage and prioritise a complex caseload of patients.
* Continuously grow and enhance clinical skills through professional development.
* Mentor and support junior staff and undergraduate Occupational Therapy students.
* Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of the neuro rehab service.
Person specification
Qualifications
* Recognised occupational therapy degree qualification or equivalent.
* Registered with the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC).
* Member of RCOT.
* Documented evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
* Completion of relevant postgraduate neuro training.
* Evidence of postgraduate training/experience in a clinical setting.
* Practice Educator training.
* Evidence of leadership training.
Experience
* Experience of working in a neuro rehab setting.
* Experience of working with individuals with long-term health conditions.
* Experience in multidisciplinary and multiagency working.
* Experience of supervising students and/or junior colleagues.
Skills
* Specialist knowledge of OT assessment, treatment and evaluation.
* Ability to work autonomously and manage workload effectively.
* Current UK driver's license.
* Group facilitation and presentation skills.
Personal Qualities
* Commitment to working to deadlines and showing initiative.
* Ability to undertake physical work and comply with moving and handling guidelines.
