We are currently recruiting for a Pump Engineer on behalf of a Facilities Management company who provide a wide range of mechanical and electrical support to Heathrow Airport amongst other clients.
They have been working closely with Heathrow Airport for over 10 years now and have a fully equipped workshop within the Airport, providing their experience with the design, supply, installation, commissioning and fault finding with all aspects of electrical and mechanical systems.
As the Pump Service Engineer, you will work on a range of pumps and associated equipment. This includes heating & chilled pumps, pressure boosting pumps, waste water pumps and pressurisation pumps.
This is a permanent position, covering London, paying £45k – £50k per annum. Working Monday to Friday, 7am – 4pm.
Responsibilities
1. Service/maintenance and installation work.
2. Carry out commissioning of new installations.
3. Booster sets, pressurisation units, sewage and storm water stations.
4. Pump overhaul and repairs to all major manufacturers’ units.
5. Carrying out service work on storm water, booster sets, pressurisation units, pump.
6. Overhauling, Installation and Commissioning of all the above.
7. Workshop based repair and overhaul of pumps and pumping equipment.
8. Customer liaison and dealing with client queries.
9. Installation and commissioning of booster set, pressurisation and submersible pump package stations.
10. To ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to.
Skills & Attributes
1. General knowledge of pump and associated pumping equipment.
2. 17th / 18th Edition Qualified.
3. Able to pass DBS/security clearance.
4. Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
5. Strong, demonstrable competencies in building services trades.
6. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
7. An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
8. Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
9. Full UK Driving Licence.
