Job Title: Brain Injury Support Worker / PA
Location: Caterham, CR3
Position Type: Part-time
Salary: £19.00 Gross per Hour
Driver Essential? Yes, must own a car for work purposes. Mileage and business insurance will be paid.
Minimum Requirements:
1. A minimum of 2 years experience supporting adults with a neurological condition, brain injury, or a learning disability.
2. Adult safeguarding experience.
3. This role is open to female applicants only.
Desirable:
1. Epilepsy/seizure management experience.
2. Training will be provided prior to starting, including emergency medication administration.
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours:
1. Tuesday: 11.00am - 1.00pm
2. Wednesday and Thursday: 10.00am - 4.00pm
About the Client: Billie is a 35-year-old woman living independently in Caterham. She enjoys a variety of activities, including trips to theme parks, spending time with family and friends, and exploring local charity shops. Billie has a brain injury and a mild learning disability, and she loves music and cooking.
Overview of Role: Responsibilities include planning for the week, assisting with life admin duties, working on goals set by the OT and MDT, and researching community events. The role requires excellent knowledge of safeguarding and collaboration with Billie’s therapy team.
Ideal Candidate: A proactive, organised female Support Worker / PA with strong communication skills and recent relevant experience. You should be intuitive, patient, and an excellent role model. Confidence with basic technology is essential.
