The project;
CAT B Fit Out works to a renowned London University, associated mechanical works to the Cat B Fit Out works including but not limited to the following;
Mechanical Pipework, associated Plant and Equipment
Public Health Pipework, associated Plant and Equipment
Critical Cooling Pipework, associated Plant and Equipment
Ventilation, associated Plant and Equipment
BEMS, associated Plant and Equipment
Smoke Extract, associated Plant and Equipment
Insulation
Water Treatment and Commissioning
To oversee and take accountability of all project related MEP services issues to include:
You’ll Be Responsible For;
Management of all aspects of the MEP subcontractors works from preconstruction stage through to project completion.
Management of all elements of specialist packages i.e. Ductwork, pipework, BMS, LEV, Compressed Air, smoke extract and water treatment and commissioning.
Planning of the works including design, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover phases in line with PBS procedures
Commercial management – execution of the MEP subcontractors contract, management of the variation account or input as required for the project surveyor to achieve the same
Ensuring that PBS procedures are fully implemented on each project
Monitoring the works and undertake regular subcontractors progress meetings
Undertaking any safety training as required to fulfil the job role and carry out site duties
Working with the project director as necessary to assist in the development of procedures and best practices both internally and with our MEP supply chain
Ensuring that works are undertaken in a safe manor in line with company practice, current legislation and good practices, review method statements and risk assessments and undertake regular site safety observations.
You’ll Need To Have;
Good engineering knowledge of mechanical, ventilation, BMS & public health systems supported by qualifications.
Commercial awareness
Planning skills
MEP systems commissioning knowledge
Tendering and procurement
Engineering of plant and equipment
Design coordination
Standard forms of contract
Good presentation skills
HNC in building services engineering
The applicant may be biased to a particular discipline, i.e. mechanical
Minimum 5 Day SMSTS course and appropriate CSCS skill card
