We’re working with a fantastic SEN school in Maidenhead who are looking for a dedicated and patient Teaching Assistant to join their team full time. The school caters for children with a range of additional needs, including Autism and speech, language and communication needs. This role is to start in the Summer Term and would suit someone who is passionate about supporting children in a nurturing, child-focused environment. You’ll be supporting pupils across different key stages, either within a small class group or on a 1:1 basis, depending on your experience and the school’s needs. The school is well-staffed with therapists and behaviour specialists, and they take a collaborative approach to ensure each child gets the support they need to thrive. Responsibilities include: Supporting pupils with SEN needs in and out of the classroom Helping to implement EHCP targets and learning plans Encouraging communication and engagement through play, visuals or sensory work Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team to adapt activities Creating a positive, calm and consistent learning environment What we’re looking for: Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school or care background welcome) Calm, patient and positive attitude Strong communication and willingness to learn A DBS on the Update Service (or happy to apply for one) Right to work in the UK At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority.
