The client has a progressive Senior Team and has expanded into multiple market areas. This role is an additional new role in foodservice to meet that growth and continue the success already achieved.
The team is hoping to attract an ambitious commercial candidate who can demonstrate previous success in growing existing relationships with an eye for developing new opportunities. The NBD element will take up a third of the role and there is a wider team of experience and knowledge to draw on for support.
This opportunity is ideal for an Account Manager or National Account Manager who has operated in the foodservice sector and can grow on their existing network, knowledge, and market awareness.
The role will involve meeting with the team in the North West weekly.

Key responsibilities:
1. The role is a mix of Account Management and New Business Development.
2. Expanding relationships with long-standing customers.
3. Developing new business with strong support and knowledge in the background.
4. Collaborating with a close-knit team focused on shared goals.
5. Agreeing on a yearly commercial plan with the Commercial Director.
6. Managing budgets including volumes, price, cost, and margin.
7. Working closely with the development team on NPD.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Commercial experience as a Junior National Account Manager or at the National Account Manager level.
2. A genuine interest in food and the industry (advantageous but not essential).
3. Background in foodservice with demonstrable delivery in a commercial role.
4. Previous experience in FMCG or food product categories.
5. Strong numerical skills and ability to interpret data and budgets.
6. Confident in approaching new customers and building relationships.
7. Professional negotiation skills.
8. An upbeat and open personality, eager to think differently.
