Job Summary
Are you an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) with significant experience, excellent clinical leadership skills and working within Emergency Care? We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly skilled, motivated, and knowledgeable individual to join our team of highly skilled ACP's working within the Emergency department autonomously providing exceptional care for our patients. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to be part of the trust and its £26 million ambitious scheme which is set to transform service delivery and the face of emergency care with a purpose built Urgent and Emergency Care Centre which will care for more than 420,000 people who live in North Derbyshire. We are keen to hear from compassionate and caring practitioners, who are NMC or HCPC registered who have an ambition to provide the best patient care who are interested in their own development whilst working effectively within complex teams as well as having the ability to lead and work in partnership across organisations. The post holder will become a specialist in their sphere of competence enabling innovative solutions to the care and experience our patients expect.
Main Duties of the Job
Applicants will be required to utilise advanced clinical decision-making and clinical skills to effectively manage patients and have confidence to do this and the ability to communicate effectively. Applicants will be required to demonstrate these skills or ability to develop these skills as part of the selection process.
1. To provide high quality clinical assessment and intervention and treatment for a wide variety of patients presenting to the ED including paediatrics.
2. To work independently at an advanced clinical level in the direct delivery of high-quality care making critical clinical decisions based on advanced clinical skills assessment.
3. The post holder will demonstrate safe clinical decision making and expert care including assessment and diagnostic skills for patients.
4. The post holder will provide clinical leadership and support within both the nursing and medical/surgical teams and to support the lead ACP in developing the trusts ACP service to improve the patient experience.

The successful applicant will become a specialist in the sphere of competence enabling innovative solutions to the care and experience our patients expect. Demonstrating advanced levels of clinical judgement alongside the use of specialist equipment and diagnostic reasoning, providing accurate and differential diagnoses.
