Join a global multi-energy organisation as a JV Accounting Advisor. In this 12 month contract role, you will manage the Joint Venture Accounting Team, ensuring accurate cost allocation and timely billings in line with Joint Operating Agreements (JOAs).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading the Joint Venture Accounting Group, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
2. Overseeing month-end close processes, including timely billings.
3. Delivering accurate financial information to JV partners per JOA requirements.
4. Maintaining JV master data in SAP S4 Hana.
5. Standardising processes across JV assets using SAP Analytics Cloud.
6. Ensuring compliance with controls and regularly updating process documentation.
7. Monitoring and following up on partner cash receipts and late payments.
8. Assisting Field Managers with annual work plans, budgets, and re-forecast submissions.
9. Monitoring changes to commercial agreements and ensuring accurate financial modelling.
10. Attending Partner Operational and Technical Coordination Meetings.
11. Presenting monthly financial performance reports to the Asset Team.
12. Handling partner financial audits and minimising claims.
13. Reviewing quarterly account reconciliations and AFEs.
14. Supporting Tax Team with PRT deliverables.
15. Developing close working relationships with internal teams.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Proven experience in upstream oil industry finance roles.
2. Proficient in SAP, preferably SAP Hana.
3. Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
4. Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
