Events and Experiences Manager, Global Communications
We create and deliver an aligned, dedicated marketing strategy to fuel each Expedia Group brands success. Since our travelers interact with us through our brands, we have a brand focus in our marketing, while leveraging the scale and efficiency weve built in functional expertise.
The Global Communications org is a global team of communications experts who support Expedia Group (EG) and its 3 flagship brands, Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo. We are comprised of 7 core functions: PR, Corporate Communications, B2B Partner Communications, Media Relations and Influencer, Social, Operations and Events and Experiences.
The Events and Experiences team plans, designs and executes strategic, best-in-class events and experiences in markets all over the world, delivering against specific business objectives whilst building connections, awareness and relevance for our products and brands.
Work delivered by the team includes Expedia Groups annual partner event (EXPLORE), travel industry events and conferences, hospitality at major sporting and cultural events, launch events and experiential marketing.

Were seeking non-traditional thinkers, who can balance functional expertise with high emotional intelligence and an ability to contribute to building a positive, fast-moving and high-performing team dynamic.
In this role, you will:
* Help to deliver events and experiences that build relevance, buzz and demand for our products and brands.
* Play an integral role delivering the planning and execution of multiple types of events, including stands and booths at travel industry events, hospitality at major sporting and cultural events, curated dinners and special projects.
* Write clear briefs to ensure that business strategy, needs and inputs are shared with Production and Design teams right from the start of each project. Help to co-ordinate and deliver internal feedback on event creative, to ensure that design best facilitates the needs of the business and the audiences who attend each event.
* Work as a cross functional lead to ensure projects are developed and delivered with other teams across Expedia Group. Youll set up and manage efficient and effective communications processes that keep all stakeholders informed and updated as necessary.
* Understand the different teams, stakeholders and needs across EG; able to develop and track measurable KPIs, driving towards objectives across multiple stakeholders and/or brands.
* Manage agency and vendor relationships.
* Partner with other teams within Global Communications and across EG, including Partner Communications, Content, Product, Marketing and Social teams.
* Collaborate with stakeholders on budget forecasting and ensure that live projects are delivered within budget.
* Help to write and build keynote and PowerPoint presentations and keep master Event decks updated with the most up-to-date content.
Experience and qualifications:
o 8 - 10+ years experience as an account management or producer (agency and/or in-house) in the events and experiential space, which must include significant experience working in B2B events.
o Understanding of how Industry events work and solid experience working with registration and other event communication tools.
o High attention to detail, excellent creative taste and a strong understanding of the importance of good design.
o Experience managing event budgets up to $350k.
o Strategic and critical thinking skills; able to see "big picture" while also being deep in the detail.
o Thrive on identifying processes that deliver efficiencies and scale, whilst forcing simplicity across project planning.
o Clear understanding of concept and creative development, and production processes and timelines.
o Able to establish credibility and build trusted relationships with team members at all levels of the organization, as well as creative partners, agencies, and vendors.
o Able to communicate effectively and concisely, tailoring your style to different audiences.
o Adept at using data to make appropriate decisions on trade-offs and prioritization.
o Resilient and constructive when faced with change, able to shift approaches when needed.
o Willing and able to travel to events in key international markets when required.
