Housing Litigation – Senior Associate – Salary depending on experience
The Role
We are delighted to present this excellent opportunity for a Housing Litigation Senior Associate to join a successful and modern law firm in Preston, highly rated for social housing in the Legal 500.
As the firm’s Housing and Regeneration team continues to develop, they are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a background in a housing management environment, with a steady flow of new instructions from existing clients. We are looking for a motivated and organised individual with ambition, who can provide an exceptional level of service to our clients.
The role involves collaborating closely with Partners on high-value, technically challenging housing management claims, both litigated and pre-litigated matters, and includes liaising with barristers and experts. The firm is based in Preston.
The Candidate
* A qualified solicitor 5 year PQE+ (or CILEX equivalent possessing civil rights of audience)
* Previous experience working on social housing litigation
* Understanding of anti-social behaviour claims and injunctions, possession proceedings, housing disrepair, housing related personal injury claims and statutory nuisance claims
* Proven experience in advocating in Courts or Tribunals, as well as the capability and readiness to travel across England.
* Must have excellent level of client care
* Must have a high standard of verbal and numerical reasoning
* Must have the ability to analyse, evaluate and communicate information logically
* Have proficient IT skills
