Job summary Lawford Surgery has an opportunity for a receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis for approximately 20-25 hours per week. There is more to our receptionist roles than answering the phone and making appointments. In this essential front-line role at the practice, receptionists help patients to access the right services, assist with keeping health records accurate and up-to-date, and ensure that appointment bookings are well-managed. We are looking for a receptionist to join our busy practice team and help make a positive impact on our local community. Main duties of the job Greeting and directing all patients. Assisting GP with online triage. Making appointments face to face, online and via telephone. Accepting, issuing and handing out prescriptions, letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc. Dealing with requests for information, and patient enquiries. Advising patients of practice procedures. processing requests for new patient registrations. Answering the telephone, promptly. About us Lawford Surgery is based in Manningtree, Essex. We are a semi-rural practice with approximately 4,700 patients. The successful candidate will join our nursing team and be supported by our principal GP, salaried GP and 2 regular locum GPs along with PCN clinical staff including a paramedic, clinical pharmacist and physiotherapist.
