Anniesland Medical Practice is a large, busy and friendly training Practice in NW Glasgow. We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and reliable Receptionist/Administration Assistant to join our team. The hours required are between 18 hours and 21 hours a week, with cover required Monday 8.30 – 6.00 and 6pm finish on a Friday. We have a degree of flexibility as to how other hours are scheduled.
Salary Scale: £23,645pa (£12.25 per hour) to £26,092pa (£13.52 per hour), the starting salary will be dependent on experience.
This role requires excellent communication and IT skills as well as previous experience in a fast-paced patient or customer-facing role. You must be able to work under pressure, adapt in busy and unpredictable situations whilst upholding patient confidentiality at all times. An ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment is key.

The role will include:
1. Dealing with patients at reception and over the telephone
2. Processing prescriptions and mail
3. Booking and cancelling appointments
4. ‘Signposting’ patients to the appropriate service
5. Phoning hospitals and other services
6. Many other administrative duties
