Technical Cardiology are looking for an experienced and motivated ATO to work with the team of support staff in Technical Cardiology.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will help us continue to provide first class care to our patients. The role requires the provision of high quality ambulatory analysis, assistance with provocative tests such as exercise tolerance testing, head up tilt table testing and training of junior colleagues.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* Ambulatory ECG analysis and hook up.
* ECG recording and interpretation.
* Supporting ETT and HUTT.
* Supervising and training junior team members.
* Assisting the ATO lead to ensure the smooth running of the day.
* Ensuring the department is adequately stocked.
Person specification
Experience
* Experience with ECG analysis software.
* Evidence of working with the general public.
* IT skills (Word processing and databases).
* Familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
* Evidence of working in a caring or healthcare environment.
* Previous experience of hospital databases.
Training & Qualifications
* Must be literate and numerate to GCSE level.
* Evidence of post 16 education in a healthcare or caring field.
Communication and Relationship Skills
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Evidence of ability to work as a team member but also demonstrate using personal initiative.
* Excellent communicator with good telephone manner.
* Experience of dealing with customers.
Physical Skills
* Ability to retrieve patient detail from wards and departments.
* Physical ability to move large pieces of equipment around the hospital.
* Able to undertake (patient and non-patient) manual handling training as required.
