Property Manager - Compliance
Location: Remote (with periodic travel across England)
Salary: Circa £50,000, depending on experience

Are you an experienced property compliance leader with a passion for safety, quality, and operational excellence? Abbeyfield, a leader in senior living and care, is looking for a dynamic Property Manager (Compliance) to join our team and help maintain and enhance our extensive property portfolio. This role is critical in ensuring a safe, secure, and compliant environment for our residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership: Lead and develop our national Compliance team, fostering a proactive, engaged, and skilled group.
2. Compliance Management: Oversee compliance across six streams of health and safety (gas, fire, electrical, asbestos, water hygiene, lifting equipment) to maintain regulatory adherence.
3. Process Improvement: Develop and implement efficient compliance processes, integrating technology to enhance service delivery.
4. Contract and Supplier Management: Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure quality and cost-effective compliance services.
5. Financial Oversight: Manage the Compliance budget, authorise expenditures, and develop long-term investment plans.
6. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong partnerships with external and internal stakeholders to uphold Abbeyfield’s reputation in property compliance management.
Candidate Profile:
Essential:
1. Proven experience in leading a team within property compliance or facilities management.
2. Deep knowledge of compliance regulations, including health and safety protocols.
3. Strong analytical skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, and experience managing remote teams.
4. Background in contract administration and third-party supplier management.
5. Experience in disaster recovery planning and emergency management.
Desirable:
1. Experience in care home or sheltered housing management.
2. Knowledge of the charitable sector and understanding of the housing needs of older adults.
