DevOps Engineer DevOps Engineer 5 month contract Remote Working c£475 per day (Outside-IR35) The Opportunity: Consulting as a DevOps Engineer on a major central government project to provide the required services to develop robust data pipelines, analytics and visualisation tools that will support the integration of multiple infrastructure datasets across various sectors. These services will contribute to the creation of solutions that align with the principles of digital twins, which are virtual models connected to their real-world counterparts by a two-way flow of real-time data where the primary challenge is to consolidate these sources into one cohesive framework. N.B. Candidates will have or be willing to undergo a basic level of security clearance prior to starting the role. Skills and Experience: Infrastructure as Code (IaC): experience deploying to, and managing multiple AWS cloud environments using Terraform. CI/CD Solutions: proven ability to design and implement continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines using technologies including GitHub Actions and Flux. Containerisation: proficient in managing Kubernetes (AWS EKS hosted) clusters for deploying and running applications. Service Mesh: experience using Service Mesh technologies (for example Istio) for managing platform components deployed to Kubernetes clusters. Kubernetes Configuration Management: experience using technologies such as Kustomize for managing Kubernetes clusters. API Gateways: strong experience securely configuring and deploying AWS API Gateway. Operational Monitoring and Alerting: Proven experience designing and implementing operational monitoring and alerting solutions. Networking: strong understanding of AWS networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancing, and DNS management. Event-Driven Architecture: proven experience deploying and operating event-driven, microservice architectures (including use of Apache Kafka). Automation: proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating tasks and processes. Version Control: strong knowledge of Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab for version control and collaboration.
