The Endoscopy Admin Co-ordinator role is key in supporting the Endoscopy Administrative Services Manager in delivery of a quality Endoscopy administrative & booking service. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the existing multi-disciplinary team.
The role involves supervising a team of endoscopy administrators including booking clerks and receptionists across two sites, working closely with the Nurse Team Managers and supporting senior management in providing a quality Endoscopy service. This includes ensuring capacity is fully utilized and patients are booked timely and appropriately within Trust guidelines while maintaining waiting lists in line with Government targets.
The successful candidate must be flexible with good communication skills and the ability to recognize & respond to situations appropriately. They should ideally have a proven track record within an NHS Booking environment and demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills within an office setting, actively participating in the ongoing development of administrative processes and procedures.
This position is across site and the post holder will need to be flexible to accommodate the needs of the service. They will be expected to spend a proportional part of the working week at Worthing and SRH respectively and deputize for the Admin Services Manager in their absence.
Main duties of the job
To provide a leadership role within the Endoscopy Administration Team; day-to-day clerical support to facilitate the smooth running of the Endoscopy admissions services using both own initiative as well as direction from supervision of senior colleagues. This job role covers the coordination of Endoscopy Theatre schedules, liaison with Nursing and Consultant, and responsibility for the waiting lists.
Job responsibilities
We have an exciting opportunity within our St Richards Endoscopy and Gastroenterology booking team for a team leader/coordinator. The successful candidate will need to be dynamic, willing to work in an environment with varying demands and pressures. We are looking for a candidate who has proven experience practically managing a team as well as experience in waiting list management.
Due to the nature of the post, only candidates who can complete full time hours across the five working days can be considered.

* GCSE in English and Maths (Grade C or above) NVQ level 3 in administration
