We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Managing Director for our Onboard Weighing Division, based in our Bradford office.
Responsibilities
1. Establishes the worldwide sales direction for growth, in order to maximize market potential.
2. Negotiate contracts and meet with key/high volume customers.
3. Monitors margins and implement plans for the achieving/exceeding budgets.
4. Participates at high-level meetings and sets forth policies and plans to achieve targets in sales growth, marketing, R & D and cost saving.
5. Develops budget and capital expenditure to be reviewed by the Division Head.
6. Creates Business Development plans to ensure continuous sales growth.
7. Leading and coordinating all aspects of the companys technical, commercial, and operational teams and activities.
8. Ensuring that all development, manufacturing, sales and profitability targets are achieved while maintaining the companys reputation for leading edge product excellence and delivering customer satisfaction.
9. Working with the management team, as well as major clients and prospects, sales agents and distributors.
10. Liaising with the Division Vice President to develop policies and commercial strategies.
11. Continuously examining and reviewing practices, systems, techniques, and procedures with the management team.
12. Coordinating with workload and activity of all functions.
13. Supporting sales and marketing colleagues and initiatives ensuring the production and dispatch of all finished goods on time.
14. Establishing the goals and objectives of the division and ensuring their delivery, according to the wider business plans.
15. Achieving financial sustainability during the development of the latest business opportunities.
16. Managing the performance of the organisations colleagues and senior management through effective key performance indicators, targets and goal setting.
17. Analysing and assessing continually the organizations performance against the stated objectives.
Requirements
18. Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Engineering, Economy or Business.
19. Experience in the automotive market.
20. Highly experienced in sales and business development.
21. 5+ years experience at General Manager level.
22. Strong team ethic.
23. Ability to withstand pressure.
24. Works in an organised fashion, with the ability to shift priorities according to demands.
25. Experienced in managing remote teams.
26. Willingness to travel within Europe and North America.
