Shift pattern 4 on/4 off days/nights
Our Warehouse Operation is an impressive, state of the art, 2.5m square foot Distribution Centre in Shirebrook, and one of the most advanced warehouses within the UK. We are currently looking to grow our Warehouse Team with individuals who are obsessed with continuous improvement and innovation.
You will provide support to the Engineering Team and deputise for the Maintenance Shift Manager as required. You will deliver site-based maintenance to minimise downtime and ensure uptime and availability of the installed automated equipment on site.
You will support and manage all Shift Team activities, from carrying out maintenance and servicing automated equipment, to delivering training/coaching- serving as an inspirational Mentor to the Team.
Expect to assist the Engineering Shift Manager in performance reviews, take accountability for safety/administration as well as ensuring performance KPI's are being maximised to improve efficiencies.
You will be a Champion of safe working practice/compliance- and a proactive and helpful escalation point for all faults and breakdowns.
Minimum Requirements
1. Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification
2. Experience working with automated material handling systems
3. Experience in a Senior position within an Engineering function - mentoring/leading by example
4. A working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawings.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
7. Basic understanding of control systems and techniques
8. Ability to work in a time critical environment

If successful we anticipate two further interview stages with the Hiring Manager/wider team which will be more technically focussed and could include a presentation/task so we can see your skills in action.
