In this role, you will partner closely with senior stakeholders, supporting decision-making processes while delivering high-quality financial insights and analysis. You will also assist in the development of junior team members and contribute to key financial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Commercial Support:
1. Partner with key stakeholders to facilitate sound financial and operational decision-making.
2. Conduct financial analysis and provide summaries to support business decisions.
3. Assist in managing financial risks and opportunities across contracts and balance sheets.
4. Contribute to commercial initiatives aimed at driving business performance improvements.
2. Performance Management:
1. Assist in preparing key business reports, including month-end reviews, budgets, and client reports.
2. Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis.
3. Contribute to balance sheet reviews and help manage working capital targets.
4. Help prepare documentation for client tenders, negotiations, and capital expenditure appraisals.
3. Team Support & Leadership:
1. Support and develop junior team members, contributing to their career progression.
2. Collaborate with financial and operational teams to ensure effective communication and partnership.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
1. Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or QBE with relevant experience.
2. Experience in business partnering and providing financial support to senior stakeholders.
3. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a commercial mindset.
4. Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
5. Ability to manage complex spreadsheets and prioritize tasks effectively.
Desirable:
1. Experience in a multi-site, multi-contract environment.
2. Knowledge of SAP & Cognos.
3. Experience supporting team development and working closely with operational teams.
