Our client, a welcoming and high-achieving coeducational secondary school based in Upminster, is seeking a dedicated and inspirational Teacher of Religious Education to join their Humanities faculty as soon as possible. Key Responsibilities:
* Teach Religious Education across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with potential opportunities at Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
* Deliver thought-provoking lessons that encourage students to explore a range of beliefs, values, and ethical issues.
* Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with curriculum expectations.
* Promote an inclusive classroom culture where all students feel respected and valued.
* Contribute to department planning and whole-school enrichment activities related to RE and cultural understanding.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent overseas teaching qualification.
* Have experience teaching RE in a secondary school setting.
* Be passionate about Religious Education and promoting cultural literacy and philosophical inquiry.
* Possess excellent subject knowledge and a creative approach to teaching and learning.
* Demonstrate strong classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
