Manor Dental Care is a friendly private dental practice that values team play and integrity. We are looking for an ambitious and self-motivated qualified Dental Nurse to join our team to assist with both reception and dental nursing. This is a great opportunity for a highly organised and efficient nurse who loves to speak with patients both in-person and on the telephone. You will predominantly work on the reception desk speaking to and advising patients, with approximately one day a week working in surgery.
As receptionist, you will be required to:
1. Answer the phone in a polite and timely manner.
2. Book and change appointments both in-person and over the phone.
3. Ensure patients are booked in upon arrival and the clinicians are made aware.
4. Deal with incoming enquiries from patients, in person, over the phone or via email.
5. Send communications to patients using their chosen method.
6. Take payments and cash up.
7. Receive orders from suppliers as appropriate to your job role and notify the appropriate person.
8. Manage the laboratory orders within the practice, ensuring orders are sent to lab, tracked, and checked off.
9. Perform general administration such as scanning or photocopying.
10. Ensure patient records are kept up to date and stored securely.
11. Be the first point of call for any complaints, be confident in the procedure and direct to the complaints manager as required.
As dental nurse, you will be required to:
1. Prepare and maintain the clinical environment, including the equipment.
2. Carry out infection prevention and control procedures to prevent physical, chemical and microbiological contamination in the surgery or laboratory.
3. Record dental charting and oral tissue assessment carried out by other registrants.
4. Prepare, mix and handle dental biomaterials.
5. Provide chairside support to the therapist or orthodontist during treatment.
6. Keep full, accurate and contemporaneous patient records.
7. Prepare equipment, materials and patients for dental radiography.
8. Process dental radiographs.
9. Support with taking and sending scans to TCO.
10. Monitor, support and reassure patients.
11. Give appropriate patient advice.
12. Support the patient and their colleagues if there is a medical emergency.
13. Make appropriate referrals to other health professionals.

* Monday 7.30am - 7.00pm
* Wednesday 7.30am - 7.00pm
* Thursday 7.30am - 7.00pm
* Saturday 8.30am - 2.00pm
