What You Will Do:\n\nAs a Systems Engineer at Johnson Controls, your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional engineering services to our customers across various aspects of system maintenance, installations, and service delivery. You will ensure that all work meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations and that Johnson Controls is seen as a trusted partner in delivering world-class engineering solutions.\n\nIn this role, you will take full ownership of all engineering service activities, including system installations, planned and preventative maintenance, and responding to technical call-outs. A key part of your role will be ensuring smooth coordination between internal teams and customers, maintaining excellent communication throughout, and ensuring accurate paperwork and billing records are kept.\n\nAs an integral member of the Services and Maintenance Team, your ability to work proactively, independently, and as part of a wider team is critical.
You will support the team by offering your expertise when responding to technical faults, while working closely with both new and existing customers to maintain, optimize, and enhance their systems. Additionally, you will be required to participate in the on-call rota to provide 24/7 engineering support.\n\nHow You Will Do It:\n\nCollaborate with customers, project management teams, and internal stakeholders to develop and deliver system requirements and solutions.\n\nManage system installations, maintenance tasks, and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.\n\nEnsure that solutions and services meet or exceed customer expectations.\n\nAssist in the commissioning of new installations and ensure customer sign-off.\n\nConduct site surveys, prepare technical reports, and contribute to accurate project costings and designs.\n\nComplete all project and service-related documentation to meet business timelines and operational standards.\n\nAdhere to Johnson Controls’ procedures and Health & Safety policies.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n\nStrong experience in integrated enterprise-level systems, including:\n\nCCTV\n\nIntruder Alarm Systems\n\nPerimeter Detection\n\nAccess Control\n\nVideo Intercom Systems\n\nHands-on experience with technologies such as:\n\nGenetec, Gallagher, Milestone, FLIR Latitude, ProWatch, and Commend.\n\nExperience with high-end CCTV cameras (Bosch, Axis, Optical/Thermal imaging).\n\nExperience with Grade 3 Intruder Alarm installations (Galaxy, Texecom, and peripherals).\n\nFamiliarity with Senstar Omnitrax/Fibre Patrol and Fibre Optic systems (desirable but not essential).\n\nExcellent communication skills, both internally and externally with customers.\n\nSelf-driven, enthusiastic, and able to work independently.\n\nProfessional demeanor and customer-centric approach.\n\nCapabilities\n\nWilling to travel and spend time away from home to support nationwide contracts, primarily across London and the Southeast.\n\nSelf-motivated with a positive, customer-focused attitude.\n\nProven ability to deliver high-quality customer engineering services.\n\nReliable and capable of working both autonomously and as part of a team.\n\nMust be able to achieve and maintain government-level SC clearance.\n\nAt Johnson Controls, we offer you a challenging and dynamic environment where you can grow your expertise and contribute to a world-leading organization.
