Job Title: Stores Supervisor
Location: Reading
Contract type: 6-month fixed term
We are looking for a detail-oriented, hard-working and experienced Stores Supervisor to join our team. You will have prior experience in the warehouse environment and excellent maths skills for balancing records.
You will lead the Stores team & manage resources in order meet the businesses requirement to receive, store, handle, distribute and despatch product in a safe manner
You will coordinate product flow with a focus on Safety, Delivery, Quality, Cost, and Lean (SDQCL)
Key Responsibilities – Stores Supervisor
To ensure accurate Inventory control is maintained via Perpetual Inventory Checks.
To ensure compliance with all statutory and other regulations, assuring strict adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental & or special conditions imposed by a customer
To ensure that that the Stores team are fully cross trained to maximise effectiveness & capacity, whilst minimising any potential impact caused holiday/Sickness cover
To provide an effective inbound, storage & inventory issuing system from stores to Production, Suppliers & Customers
To maintain full traceability system, labelling of goods, issuing of internal batch numbers & ensure all materials are correctly identified at all times
To provide, a timely kitting service from stores to production or purchasing for sub-contract operations
To coordinate the issue of consumable items to shop floor Supervisors'
To be responsible for the day to day management of the stores personnel, maintaining all necessary records
To undertake any other duties or special projects as may be required by the Materials Manager
Key skills and experience – Stores Supervisor
Experience of MRP systems, pick lists, stores locations, lot traceability and serialisation
Good organisational and planning skills
Self-motivated but can work as part of a team
Competent in using Microsoft office at intermediate level
At least 3 years' experience supervising/managing a stores or warehouse team
