We are looking for a friendly, empathetic and caring Lunchtime Supervisor for our small primary school. The role will include supervising and engaging with the children during playtime, rewarding good behaviour and social skills and building relationships. This is an ideal opportunity to begin a career in education. As part of this role, you will; Oversee children at lunchtime, supported by other team members. Listen to the children and encourage their play, but also has the necessary skills to maintain discipline. Promote student well-being by encouraging them to develop good relationships with others, develop their self-reliance and self-esteem, help them to practice good standards of personal health and hygiene. Help with the setting up and clearing away of the school hall. What you will need to succeed; Good interpersonal skills with both adults and children. Ability to work flexibly within a team and motivate students. Understanding of the developmental needs of children. Ability to maintain confidentiality. First Aid qualification desirable but not essential. Experience of working with children desirable but not essential.
