We are currently seeking reliable and motivated Cover Supervisors to join our team in supporting secondary schools throughout Northamptonshire. Role Overview: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher. You’ll be tasked with delivering pre-prepared lessons, ensuring student engagement, and managing classroom behavior in a positive and professional manner. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in the education sector or those seeking flexible working arrangements. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and manage the classroom in the absence of the class teacher. Deliver lesson plans provided by the absent teacher and ensure students remain on task. Ensure students’ work is completed in a productive and orderly environment. Support students with individual needs and encourage their participation in learning activities. Manage behavior in line with school policies and ensure a positive and respectful classroom environment. Report back to the school on students’ progress and any issues that arise during the lesson. Ideal Candidate: Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential. A passion for education and helping students achieve their best potential. Strong classroom management skills and a calm, professional demeanor. Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a variety of school settings.
