Additional role requirements; Full driving licence DBS check required A little bit about what we are looking for Are you ready to play a key role in supporting our tradespeople and ensuring the smooth delivery of repair and maintenance services? We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Labourer to join our Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) team. As a Labourer, you will assist with a variety of tasks, including minor maintenance repairs and larger projects across various workstreams. You will also be responsible for collecting and disposing of building waste, ensuring that safety and customer satisfaction remain your top priorities. Your responsibilities Assist Tradespeople: Provide hands-on support to tradespeople, ensuring projects are completed efficiently. Minor Repairs: Undertake small maintenance tasks in occupied and unoccupied homes. Waste Management: Collect and dispose of building waste at designated transfer stations. Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all Health & Safety policies, risk assessments, and safe working practices. Safely use tools, equipment, and hazardous substances as per training and instructions. Participate in Health & Safety training and adhere to guidelines on: Asbestos Fire Safety Working at Height Electrical Safety PPE/RPE usage Machinery & Tools Manual Handling Lone Working Noise & Vibration Housekeeping Vehicle Checks: Perform daily safety checks on company vehicles, ensuring they are roadworthy and report any issues promptly. Material Management: Collect materials needed for larger projects. Manage van stock, replenishing supplies weekly and maintaining accountability for inventory. Documentation: Complete all required paperwork, both electronic and hard copy, as directed. Customer Care: Deliver excellent customer service, adhering to company policies and treating customers and their homes with respect. Collaboration: Liaise with trades and other departments to ensure repairs and maintenance are completed to a high standard. Reporting: Notify housing management of any issues or concerns related to repairs or housing management.
