Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and motivatedArchitect or Architectural Technologist to join a dynamicarchitectural team based in Edinburgh. This studio is known for itscollaborative culture, strong design ethos, and dedication todelivering meaningful, high-quality architecture across a range ofsectors. With a long-established presence in the city, the team worksfrom a well-located, characterful office space, offering a supportiveenvironment in which architects can grow, develop, and take on newresponsibilities.
The ideal candidate will haveat least two years’ experience post-Part III and be ready to take thenext step in their career, contributing to projects at a range ofstages and scales. This role suits someone with strong design andtechnical capabilities, confidence in client and consultant meetings,and a desire to be involved in all aspects of project delivery. Therewill be opportunities to work on a broad mix of typologies, offeringlong-term exposure to both public and private sector commissions. Therole would suit someone who is looking for continuity in their careerand the chance to develop within a supportive and established studio.
The practice values people who think criticallyabout design and bring curiosity to their work. A good understandingof UK planning and building regulations is essential, as is experienceworking in Revit, as the majority of projects are delivered in BIM.Applicants should be comfortable working within structured systemswhile also having the initiative to work independently when required.Communication skills are key, as the successful architect will beclient-facing and expected to contribute to internal design reviewsand external coordination meetings. A thorough approach to detail,specification, and construction is important, and there is space forindividuals who enjoy the delivery stages of projects as well as theearly design phases.
