We are currently looking for an IT Purchaser to join our friendly team within our Bristol Office, reporting in to our IT Purchasing Manager!
The role:
1. Review requests and escalate to the Head of IT Systems & Security/IT Director for approval
2. Check and validate all purchase orders created and escalate any discrepancies to the Senior Group IT Logistics Purchaser
3. Complete invoice matching for all goods received and ensure delivery notes received
4. Maintain commonality of goods ordered and arrange collection and delivery of those goods as appropriate
5. Check stock levels, create and maintain a logistics library and arrange suitable storage
6. Liaise and act as an interface between the company and external suppliers, build relationships with strategic partners and obtain associated quotes
7. Assist the team throughout periods of company acquisitions with the purchasing of additional IT equipment, the centralisation of licensing and warranty agreements and take on the increased IT Purchasing workload as a result of the acquisition
8. Direct involvement in business-critical projects including acquisition, refurbishments, new-builds and “Specials”. Working closely with other departments and managers to ensure key timescales are met and costs meet budget requirements
9. Maintain a close contact with the Telecoms supplier to ensure smooth delivery of network related equipment
10. Work closely with team members and colleagues to ensure best practice is always worked to on all projects/process
11. During busy periods assist the IT Helpdesk by answering calls from all areas of the business, providing a triage service for the team and our internal customers
12. Be willing to attend sites as and when necessary, as part of project rollouts, hardware refreshment and also to enhance the profile of IT throughout the company
